Connect with friends and the community, earn prizes, challenge yourself, and prevent the "summer slide" for students through NPL's signature Summer Reading program.
Each summer, the library presents a themed summer reading program centered around a community reading goal. Check out what we accomplished last summer below, and stay tuned for an announcement this spring about the 2024 program!
This year, the community crushed our reading goal of 800,000 minutes with a whopping 918,427 of minutes logged in Beanstack, our tracking software/app.
In addition, readers earned virtual tickets they could use to vote for one of three Nashua-area nonprofits: Operation Delta Dog, NeighborWorks Southern NH, and the Regenerative Roots Association. With thousands of votes cast, Operation Delta Dog took home the top spot and a $300 donation sponsored by the Friends of the Nashua Public Library.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the challenge, the Friends of the Nashua Public Library, and our community partners!
What is the Beanstack Tracker?
Beanstack is the library's fun and easy way to use your phone or computer to track reading, discover books, and connect with friends. Plus, Beanstack keeps you motivated to meet your goals with badges, activities, and challenges.
While it's the platform we use during summer reading, you can log into Beanstack all year long to track your reading and connect with friends.
How to Sign-Up
Go to your device's app store.
Search for "Beanstack."
Once you've opened it, search for "Nashua Public Library."
