Book Sales

Thank you for your past support of our book sales. We earn the vast majority of our funds from these sales.

The Friends of the Library will hold their next large book sale March 17-19, 2023. There will be a preview sale for Friends members on Friday, March 17, with the time to be determined, but it will include evening hours. (If you are not a current member, you can join that day.) The sale will be open to the general public on Saturday, March 18, from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday, March 19, from 1 pm to 4 pm.

In addition, the Friends will hold occasional pop-up book sales on the Library Plaza during the spring and summer of 2022 when the weather permits. Once they’re scheduled, more information will appear at tinyurl.com/nplfriends.

Some Covid restrictions may be needed during these sales, depending on the status of the pandemic at that time. Friends of the Nashua Public Library logo

The profits from these sales, typically about $25,000 a year, fund programs and services at the library. Also, read our FAQ about book donations.

Customers tell us that our annual book sale is the best organized one in the region! We sort the books into dozens of categories, such as mysteries and thrillers, cookbooks, art, religion, history and politics, sports, hobbies, self-help, sociology, and many, many more.
