My infatuation with books and libraries began at a young age and has only grown over time. Bookshelves cannot contain my collection and there is almost always at least one paperback stuffed in my purse. Cliché as it may be for a librarian to say, there is nothing better for me than a day spent with a great book, and my cat who doesn’t want to let me read it.

Many of my favorite books tend to come from the fantasy or science-fiction genres. I love a story that can take me to new worlds or that puts an interesting twist on the real one. However, any book with great characters and an unputdownable plot is a must-have.

Picking only a few favorites to share on this list was challenging to say the least, but I hope this selection will be as fun for all of you as each of the stories has always been for me!
