I genuinely believe reading (and writing) is one of the best ways for us humans to understand ourselves. Even if the book is a fantasy novel, intentionally or not, it will say something about humanity. By reading a wide variety of books from different genres, authors, and cultures, we can expand our perspective of the world and the people in it.

I recently earned my B.A., so for the past few years I’ve mainly been reading academic journals. Though I loved it, I’m happy to return to the world of reading for fun. I love a little bit of everything, from sci-fi to slice-of-life manga to horror to Shakespeare and the classic English canon, but fantasy will always be my home at the end of the day. I love connecting with people over books and giving recommendations, so here are just a few of my favorites!
