November 2, 2018
“Art in the Middle,” a month-long exhibition at the Nashua Public Library this November, includes art by students at Elm Street, Pennichuck, and Fairgrounds Middle Schools. A wide variety of subjects and media will be on display to highlight the talent of the students and quality of the district’s art programming.
Each art educator brings their own artistic expertise to the classroom, which inspires students beyond their wildest imaginations and beyond the hours of the school day. At Elm Street there is an afterschool photo club and artist society led by Karen Munz, who loves photography and drawing, and Janet Moran, who paints watercolors and makes pottery. At Pennichuck Belinda Bodnar’s specialty is clay, while at Fairgrounds Emily Edwards is interested in oil painting and mixed media based upon her international butterfly collection.
Artist’s reception
You can meet the student artists and their teachers at a reception in the Nashua Public Library Image Gallery on Thursday, November 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
