Change to Hoopla borrowing policy

Hoopla use has soared during the pandemic! In fact, you may have been unable to borrow items from Hoopla recently, even though you had not exceeded your monthly limit. This happened because the library had exceeded its lending budget for that day.

So we’ve had to find a way to fairly allocate Hoopla materials and prevent you from being blocked from borrowing, while keeping an eye on our spending. We have decided to increase the monthly Hoopla budget, and to limit customers to three borrows per month instead of four. We will continue to closely monitor use and make more adjustments this fall.
