New MakerSpace for teens

DISCLAIMER: this post is older than one year and may not be up to date.

Teens, come visit our new MakerSpace in the Teen Room. We now have all kinds of equipment, including a 3-D printer (donated by MakeIt Labs) and a 3-D pen; a MakerPC with coding, podcasting, video-editing, and animation software; a button machine; a Polaroid camera; craft supplies; a laminator; a sewing machine; and a Cricut die-cutting machine.

Come to the library to dive into your projects, whether you want to film a cartoon, laminate your artwork, design and print your own figurines . . . the possibilities are infinite!

Check it out during your vacation

During school vacation week, we’ll be doing Polaroid photo manipulation on Monday, February 25, from 11 am to 3 pm, and stop-motion video-making on Wednesday, February 27, also from 11 am to 3 pm.

Everyone is welcome to join us at our MakerSpace Open House on March 4 from 4 pm to 6 pm. If you can’t make it then, ask a teen librarian to show you the MakerSpace next time you come in.
