Inspired by American and contemporary impressionist painters, artist Robert Schweizer has been painting his entire life and working professionally as an artist for more than two decades. His current exhibition at the Nashua Public Library includes subjects ranging from portraits to landscapes to still life, all created in oil or watercolor.
About the Artist
Robert Schweizer grew up in a small farmhouse in rural Connecticut, surrounded by forests and fields. Although his life path would veer into science and medicine, his relationship with nature and art remained. He credits the expression of beauty in nature and the challenge of capturing the effect of light as his primary interest.
A professional artist for over two decades now, Schweizer has had several solo exhibitions in galleries in Connecticut and Maine. We’re thrilled to be bringing his work to the Nashua Public Library from now until the end of October.
Meet the Artist
Schweizer will also lead an oil painting class at the library in October. If you’ve always wanted to try your hand at still life painting, you can reserve your spot in the course here.
